É«¶à¶àÊÓƵ has a reputation for outstanding musical achievement.Ìý We run successful Instrumental and Vocal programs.

Concert Band Program

  • The comprehensive band program enables students to actively participate in a music program that delivers an enriched musical experience, enjoyment and a sense of teamwork.
  • The Band Program has strong support from the School and band parents with an active parent committee.ÌýÌýÌý
  • É«¶à¶àÊÓƵ Band Program has a band suited to all musical levels and needs.
  • ÌýÌýWe welcome all participants to the program and trust your musical experience will be both challenging and rewarding.

Band Descriptions

  • Concert Band 1: conducted by Mr Darren Jones and rehearses weekly 7:00 – 8:15am. Their repertoire comprises classical and contemporary pieces. They compete in a number of competitions and perform at a number of community events. Members must be 4thÌýgrade standard or higher. Entry is by audition.
  • Concert Band 2:Ìýconducted by Miss Diane Gardiner andÌýrehearses weekly 7:15 - 8:30am. They also perform classical and contemporary pieces along with some Jazz. ÌýThey do some competitions but with a greater emphasis on school and community performances. Members progress to Concert Band 1 based upon ability, commitment and level of interest.
  • Training Band:Ìýconsists of new members to the Band program. Students are taught correct technique and posture, moving through the note learning process together. ÌýMembers progress to Concert Band 2.

  • Stage Band:Ìýis a smaller group of musicians from the brass, woodwind and percussion members of Concert Band 1. Their repertoire is more Jazz based. ÌýEntry is by invitation from the Band Conductor.

Other Ensembles

  • ChamberÌýEnsemble:Ìýfocuses on string and woodwind instruments.Ìý This group rehearses weekly during lunchtime. ÌýThey perform at a number of community functions.
  • Vocal Ensembles: There are 2 Ensembles - Girl's Vocal & Acappella choir. They rehearse weekly.
